Fractal Paths
Created by Craig Macomber of Spin Craft software
Fractal Paths is a powerful fractal generator and renderer, like many other tools available. It also has a simple user interface offering the user direct control of the fractal, unlike many applications which only work with fixed equations and at best just let the users supply a few numbers. Fractal Paths lets you draw a path, or an ordered set of points connected by lines. It then turns it into a fractal by repeatedly replacing all the lines with copies of the original shape. Each time it does this its called an iteration, and fractal paths supports up to 500 iterations. Fractal Paths shows a live preview of your fractal behind your path as you draw and edit the path.
Full documentation is included along with several examples. Documentation is accessible through the help menu, along with contact information. If something is missing in the documentation, you find a bug, or you just have a question or comment send me an email.

Status
Version: Alpha 2.0.2b17
Last Updated: March 12, 2007
First Beta release. Fixed bugs, and made minor improvements. Windows version works much better now. Linux version will be available soon.
What's New
2.0.2b17-First Beta release. Fixed bugs, and made minor improvements. Windows version works much better. Now saves JPEGs.
2.0.1a16 - Second Alpha Release
Windows and Linux Versions
Minor bug Fixes.
What's Next
If testing goes well there should be a final release soon. By this point, the Linux build will hopefully be working and available.
The addition of multiple undo and redo is planned once a stable release has been made. After that possibly an advanced editor for discontinuous paths. This would allow the creation of almost any imaginable two dimensional line based geometrically constructed fractals, and most non-line based ones.
